Finally amazon launched in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The US e­commerce giant Amazon decided to feature Pakistan to its approved Seller’ List, Adviser to
Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood announced on Thursday.
Razak Dawood said it’s an excellent opportunity for Pakistani youth, SMEs and ladies entrepreneurs.
The adviser said that they need been engaged with Amazon since last year and now it’s happening.
Earlier, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on politics (SAPM) Shahbaz Gill said Amazon has added Pakistan to its
approved seller list.
Crediting the PTI government for the event , Prime Minister Imran Khan’s aide tweeted: “What couldn’t be achieved
during the last 10 years within the history of Pakistan, has finally been done by this government.”
Gill said Pakistan has now joined the worldwide market which can end in billions for the country within the sort of
investment and employment opportunities.
“Thank you Imran Khan.”
According to, after Pakistan’s addition to Amazon approved selling countries, accounts are often made
using Pakistani details.
“This milestone will drastically change the sport and end in a replacement era of economic process as more sellers will
visit the platform than ever before,” read a post on the web site .
A webinar was also organised by the Consulate General of Pakistan, l. a. and Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan with
senior executives of a couple of Pakistani companies
