The songstress sparked widespread debate online following her performance at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Monday, where she simulated an intimate act with a microphone.
While the 25-year-old singer has previously incorporated bold and suggestive choreography during her hit song Juno on her Short n’ Sweet Tour, this particular moment led to criticism from some social media users who felt it crossed a boundary.
“She’s known for pushing limits on stage, but this time it might have gone too far,” one online critic suggested.
Despite the uproar, Carpenter has not addressed the backlash, yet.
“Sabrina is one step away from starting an OnlyFans at this point,” one X user blasted after watching a video of Carpenter dropping to her knees and acting out the move.
