Jay-Z accused of child rape in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs lawsuit: Report
Jay-Z has got himself in the dirt along with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
A woman who filed a sexual assault lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs has amended her complaint to include Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter.
The allegations stem from a party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
The accuser, identified as Jane Doe, claims she was 13 years old at the time of the alleged incident.
According to the amended civil lawsuit, Doe says she felt unwell after consuming a drink at the party, then wandered into a bedroom where she was assaulted.
She alleges that Carter assaulted her first, followed by Combs, before she managed to escape.
Carter, who was initially referred to as “Celebrity A” in the original filing, strongly denied the allegations in a statement shared with CNN.
He called the claims “heinous” and urged that the matter be handled through criminal, not civil, proceedings.
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?” Carter said.
The lawsuit also alleges that Doe’s legal team reached out to Carter for mediation before amending the complaint.
According to the filing, Carter rejected the mediation request and, in response, orchestrated “a conspiracy of harassment, bullying, and intimidation” against Doe’s lawyers.
In his statement, Carter dismissed the mediation attempt as a “blackmail attempt” and criticized Doe’s attorney.
“This lawyer, who I have done a bit of research on, seems to have a pattern of these type of theatrics!” Carter stated.
Meanwhile, Combs, who is already facing multiple civil lawsuits, pleaded not guilty to recent criminal charges involving sex trafficking, racketeering, and related offenses. His legal team has denied all allegations made against him.
