Kate Middleton receives huge honour after ‘brutal’ cancer journey
Princess Kate achieved a major milestone as she has been shortlisted for Time Magazine’s Person of the Year honour in 2024 after fighting a challenging cancer battle.
As per TIME, “the Princess of Wales made international headlines this year and stirred a conversation about privacy and health for public figures.”
For the unversed, the Princess of Wales underwent “planned abdominal surgery” in January.
After her medical procedure, the mother of three was asked by her doctors to stay out of the public eye until Easter.
However, several conspiracy theories circulated online in March about Kate’s whereabouts. To address the growing concerns, in March, Princess Catherine left the world in shock as she announced her cancer diagnosis.
For a few months, the future Queen underwent chemotherapy and stepped back from royal duties.
Moreover, in September 2024, Kate Middleton released an emotional family video, sharing that she had completed her chemotherapy and is now focusing on remaining cancer-free.
The magazine added, “Middleton was previously on the TIME100 list of Most Influential People in 2013, and one of the runners-up for Person of the Year in 2011.”
