Fans decode Justin Bieber’s cryptic message for Selena Gomez
Justin Bieber’s recent PDA-packed Instagram post with his wife, Hailey Bieber, sparked a flurry of fan theories, with some claiming it contained a secret message link to his ex, Selena Gomez.
On Monday, December 16, four days after Selena, 32, announced her engagement to Benny Blanco, Justin, 30, gave a sneak peek from his Costa Rica getaway with his wife via a carousel and a close up selfie of the couple set to All My Ghosts by Lizzy McAlpine.
What garnered most attention wasn’t the couple’s loved-up selfie in which the Rhode Mogul was kissing the Baby hitmaker’s face but the background song he chose, which was shortly removed from the post.
The emotional song is about the sweet memories with an ex from the past that the singer can’t get away with.
“I can see it now the wedding of the year / I can see it now, he stands up there and wipes his tears,” some of the lyrics stuck out to fans. “I can see it now, when all me ghosts disappear / I can see it crystal clear.”
More lyrics read, “Oh, all my ghosts are with me / I know you feel them too.”
After pondering the lyrics, fans were convinced that the Sorry singer was trying to send a cryptic message to his on-again, off-again ex of eight years.
“Guys, listen to that song well and you will know Justin is trying to give sel a message,” one user commented directly under the post.
“Y’all pls, why did Justin Bieber post a pic of him and his wife with All My Ghosts by Lizzy McAlpine a few days after Selena got engaged,” another noted.
It is pertinent to note that Justin’s recent Instagram activity marked his first posts since Selena announced her engagement last Wednesday.
